Use AI!

The AI era is all about the use of… AI.

Although tautological in nature, that simple proposition contains the essence of the way in which artificial intelligence will affect our lives.

It will do so, if we use it.

It will not do so, if we do not.

At the end, we control the outcome and the magnitude of the change is in our grasp. Doing nothing is a choice, as well as doing everything. The use of AI tools depends first and foremost on our willingness to use them.

The repercussions of this are important: If you do nothing with the new tools offered by this new technology, then you will certainly rip no benefits our of it. On the other hand, using the technology may bring benefits that will always depend on how you use it.

It may sound childish, but childish advice have merit.

Wake up, make up your bed. A simple advice like that can change someone’s life. You start your day by completing a chore, by imposing self-discipline on yourself, by letting the world know that you are ready to go!

Go to work, open your AI companion and say hello! A simple action like that, may change your life as a Business Analyst (BA). You may end up with a new prompt that will produce a result in a better way than before. You may get input for something you thought was already decided a long time ago. Or you may get to find a new way of using these new tools that will improve your work in ways not thought before.

But you will do so only if you travel down that new path.

Discoveries await those who are willing to travel.

The journey is not guaranteed, nor are the benefits.

But that is always the case with anything new. Nothing is certain. Problems may arise. Even disaster might strike (call me ‘confidentiality’). Explorers most of the times die. But before they do, sometimes they discover treasures or new places full of knowledge and potential. Being afraid is logical; we are all afraid of the unknown. Being bored is also logical; we are all accustomed to what we already know.

The future is always ahead of us.

But only for those who are not looking back.

This applies not only for AI but for every other revolution that has come before and for any other revolution that will come in the years to come. Everything is possible. But only if the dices roll…
